ABOUT

Andre Fangueiro

André Fangueiro, originally from Porto, Portugal, has always had a deep passion for creativity and technology. This passion led him to pursue a technical degree in Multimedia Design at Escola Secundária Augusto Gomes, followed by a specialization in Product Design at ESAD Escola Superior de Artes e Design. His desire to explore the intersections of design, technology, and culture propelled him to further his education with a master's degree in Design and Structures from the prestigious Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, Poland.

This academic foundation paved the way for André's multifaceted career, where his innovative approach to design has shaped renowned global brands and industries. Over the years, he has contributed his expertise to leading companies such as Giant Bicycles, Canon, Nestlé, Invacare Medical, Laerdal Medical, and more. Through these experiences, André has honed his skills and made significant contributions in the realms of design, innovation, and business development.

In 2014, André founded his own design and business innovation firm, Human-lab, where his groundbreaking work continued to gain recognition. Notably, in 2017, he and
his team won the prestigious IF Award Gold for the design language developed for Canon, as well as an IF Award for Dolfi, a portable washing machine designed through
Human-lab. His work with Invacare Medical was showcased in 2018 at the Tate Museum of Contemporary Art in London, further solidifying his impact on the design world.

Today, as the Head of Design at Tietoevry, André continues to push the boundaries of design and innovation, particularly in the fields of artificial intelligence and cutting-edge technology.
